🤷🏽♀️ Sore neck, shoulders or back from sitting at your computer? Here are some common problems and easy solutions! ⚙️
🛑 PROBLEM!
Hunching forward over a low laptop or computer leads to excessive strain on muscles and joints of the neck
✅ SOLUTION!
Lift laptop or monitor so that your eyes are level with the top third of the monitor when you are sitting straight
🛑 PROBLEM!
Excessive rounding of the shoulders leads to unnecessary strain through the upper back, shoulders and arms
✅ SOLUTION!
Slide back on the seat, sit straight and pull the chair in closer to the computer, and keep your arms at 90 degree angles.
An external keyboard and mouse for laptop users helps with this!!
🛑 PROBLEM!
Crossing legs or sitting forward in the chair places a twist through the pelvis, which can translate through the rest of the spine, as well as decrease circulation to the lower legs
✅ SOLUTION!
Shuffle back in your seat so that the low back is in contact with the back of the chair, sit straight and don’t cross the legs!
